The Adelaide Hills Library Service runs Sensory Storytime each Thursday from 10:30am-11:30am at Coventry Library in Stirling in 2018.
Sessions include:
Interaction through songs
Stories
Puppets
Music
MAKATON keyword signing
Built-in playtime
Sensory Storytimes are sensitive to:
Delayed motor skill decelopment
Freedom of movement
Less sitting, more action
Visual schedules or storyboards
Deliberate sensory input
Loud noise & crowd issues
Allergies (no food rule)
