Advice about your own situation
Adelaide-based Paediatric Sleep & Psychology Clinic offers help for children and adolescents who do not sleep well. They have been working with families for over 15 years to successfully treat sleep problems in children 0-18 years. In addition to individual sessions at the Clinic, group sleep education sessions are also available. The sessions are run by experienced sleep psychologist Brooke Michell who has been working with the Clinic for 8 years. These group sessions allow parents who are struggling with their child’s sleep the opportunity to learn about sleep, and receive some assistance to treat sleep problems.
Online Sessions during COVID-19 Social Distancing
Due to current social distancing restrictions and to help stop the spread of COVID-19, Brooke Michell is offering the Paediatric Sleep & Psychology Clinic’s regular sleep education sessions in an online videoconferencing format. Online telehealth and group sessions have been used for many years and are shown to be as successful as face-to-face sessions in assisting parents and families with their sleep health.
These sleep education sessions typically run for 1-2 hours and cover important information about children and sleep, followed by ‘question time’ to allow attendees to obtain advice about their own situation. The sessions aim to give parents enough basic strategies to overcome the most common sleep problems in children.
